We bought a 1930s 3-bed detached house which had not been significantly changed since it was built. It needed new insulated floors, plastering, a full re-wire, new plumbing and new windows. We also wanted to alter the layout, including making an open plan kitchen/dining room and making the separate bathroom/toilet into one room. We had never done anything like this before so we were a bit nervous and really wanted a builder we felt comfortable with.
